The White Knuckle Drive to Santa Fe
Here’s the video with some highlights from the harrowing drive from Tucson, AZ to Santa Fe, NM. Tremendous wind but I kept pressing on because I had a campground reservation I didn’t want to not show up for.
I’ve learned that even if I have a 2 hour drive, it’s best to leave room for flexibility and I never plan anything too taxing after a long haul drive.
http://www.pattybluehayes.com Things I learned on this leg of the trip: - Research the weather before driving! Being from California, I'm not used to having much variety in the weather at all. It was a pretty treacherous drive, even with pulling over every couple of hours. - Don't drive in a severe thunderstorm/lightning!
